Global food company Cargill opens an innovation centre in Gurugram, Haryana. The company will collaborate with India’s major food and beverage partners.The centre is spread over 17,000 square feet which includes sensory labs, demonstration kitchens with the ability to serve dairy, beverage and other convenience food industries. The company will help in reformulating food products that are lower in fat, sugar and salt without changing their aroma and flavours.
Cargill said the Innovation Center will be equipped with the most advanced applications and analytical capabilities, including an Ultra High-Temperature Processing (UHT) pilot plant and a chocolate processing line. Augmented Reality (AR) will be used to live-stream practical demonstrations remotely to the company’s customers. Additionally, 27 food specialists/scientists will work at the centre, which will provide opportunities for aspiring talent from academia, agribusiness and food sectors. The centre also will support R&D collaboration for companies.
This creates a major milestone in the journey of Cargill. Majorly, the company will also contribute to a great development in the economy of India.
