Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has entered India’s ready-to-drink dairy beverage market with the launch of Joyland flavoured milk in Tamil Nadu.** Announced on 14 October 2026, the launch marks another step in the company’s strategy to expand its food and beverage portfolio. Priced at ?20 per unit, Joyland was initially introduced in strawberry and vanilla flavours. The product is made with dairy ingredients and is positioned as an affordable, convenient beverage for consumers seeking ready-to-drink dairy options.
The launch expands RCPL’s existing beverage portfolio beyond conventional soft drinks and into value-added dairy products. The company plans to introduce additional flavours and explore other dairy beverage categories as it develops the Joyland brand.
According to the company, Tamil Nadu is the first market for the product, with a phased nationwide rollout planned. RCPL intends to leverage Reliance’s distribution network and retail infrastructure to increase product availability across markets.
Joyland’s entry places Reliance in competition with established players such as Amul, ITC, Mother Dairy, Nandini and Cavin’s in India’s flavoured milk segment. Its ?20 price point reflects a focus on affordability, while the established distribution network could support wider market penetration.
The launch comes amid growing interest in convenient, packaged dairy beverages, driven by changing consumer preferences and demand for on-the-go products. RCPL’s expansion into this category signals its ambition to strengthen its presence in India’s competitive FMCG and beverage markets.
