AGI Greenpac Enters Aluminium Can Market with 1000 Crore Investment

AGI Greenpac, a leading name in the packaging industry, is making a strategic entry into aluminium can manufacturing with an investment of 1,000 crore. The move aligns with the company’s vision to diversify its packaging solutions and tap into the surging demand for sustainable packaging, particularly in the beverage and food & beverage sectors.

The company will set up a state-of-the-art facility in Uttar Pradesh, with an initial annual capacity of 950 million cans. This capacity is planned to expand to 1.6 billion cans by FY2030. The first phase of operations is expected to go live by Q3 FY28.

AGI Greenpac aims to leverage its robust customer base and distribution network in the glass packaging segment, especially within the alcohol and F&B industries, to accelerate growth in the aluminium can space.

The funding for this major expansion will be sourced through a mix of debt and internal accruals. The company is positioning itself to become a key player in the aluminium can market within the next decade, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and innovative packaging solutions.
