Azelis Receives Two Honours for Nutrition-Focused Food Concepts

Azelis' Food & Nutrition team received two awards at the Fi India 2026 Innovative Product Showcase, recognising formulations developed around nutrition, taste and product performance. The two concepts were designed to address challenges commonly faced when increasing protein or fibre content in food and beverage products. 

The Lactofree-lite Milkshake received first runner-up recognition. The lactose-free chocolate formulation contains added protein and reduced sugar while being developed to maintain a smooth texture and stable product structure.

The second recognised formulation, CheesyFit Dip, received second runner-up. The dip combines cheddar and peri-peri flavour with protein and fibre and is designed for applications such as dipping and drizzling.

The two formulations demonstrate the technical challenges involved in developing nutritionally enhanced products. Increasing protein or fibre can affect properties such as viscosity, stability, flavour and mouthfeel.

Azelis says its application teams work with ingredient suppliers and customers to test formulations and develop products that meet nutritional targets while retaining the sensory characteristics expected by consumers.
