Parag Milk Foods is extending its Avvatar nutrition business into the packaged-snacking category with the introduction of Avvatar Popped Protein Chips. The launch expands the brand's existing presence in whey proteins, ready-to-drink beverages and protein bars into a format designed for everyday snacking. The new chips are available in Magic Masala and Pudina flavours. Each 30-gram serving delivers 10 grams of protein, while the product is made without added sugar, palm oil or preservatives. The chips are priced at ?60 per pack, placing them within the growing market for convenient nutrition-focused snacks.
The move represents a broader expansion of Parag Milk Foods' nutrition strategy. While Avvatar has traditionally been associated with sports and whey-based nutrition, the company is now exploring food formats that can bring protein into more routine consumption occasions.Distribution is being developed across multiple channels, including the Avvatar online platform, quick-commerce services, vending machines, general trade and modern retail. This multi-channel approach gives the company access to both specialist nutrition consumers and shoppers looking for convenient packaged foods.
The launch also reflects a wider change taking place in the Indian food industry. Protein is increasingly being incorporated into familiar food formats rather than being limited to conventional supplements and sports-nutrition products. Snack foods with added protein are emerging as one way for manufacturers to respond to consumers seeking convenient nutritional options.
For Parag Milk Foods, the development provides an opportunity to use its existing expertise in dairy and protein while entering an adjacent category. The company operates brands including Gowardhan, Go, Pride of Cows and Avvatar, with manufacturing facilities and integrated dairy-processing capabilities in India.
With Avvatar Popped Protein Chips, the company is positioning protein as an ingredient for everyday consumption and expanding the range of formats through which consumers can access its nutrition portfolio.
